Patong is without a doubt the center of the island's nightlife scene. Bars
in Patong can be roughly divided into beer bars, go-go bars, regular bars,
and discothèques.
The scene in
Patong is centered around Bangla road and its many offshoots. The road runs
perpendicular to the beach road towards the northern end of Patong. Bangla
is only about half a kilometer and is turned into a walking street at 6:00
pm in the evening making it easy to walk around and bar hop.
Other bar
areas include: the Sukhumvit road complex, opposite the C&N hotel on
Rat-U-Thit road, Sunset Plaza at the southern end of Patong beach opposite
the Seapearl Hotel, Soi Dongtan on the beach road just north of Bangla, and
Sawatdirak road which runs is the next road running parallel to Bangla.
The best way
for you to find an establishment that you like, is to walk around and
